Margaret attended school in Pacific Junction and graduated from high school in 1930. She enjoyed attending many Pacific Junction school reunions and riding their floats in the Glenwood Homecoming Parade.

After high school, Margaret attended Peru State College where she received her teaching certificate. She taught for one year in Pacific Junction.

On March 20, 1935, Margaret married Karl Stewart Mintle. To this union three children were born, Marilyn Jean, Marianna, and Charles Keith.

Margaret had a keen interest in 4-H and while her children were 4-H members, she was a leader for 15 years. Margaret and Karl lived on their farm together, northeast of Glenwood for fifty-three years until Karl’s death. Margaret remained on the farm until moving to Glenwood in 1997. After ten years in her home in Glenwood, she moved to a nice apartment at Linnwood Estates. Up until the last few weeks of her life, Margaret was blessed with good health. • Joseph Vasquez & Family Posted March 23, 2010 12:00 am

The Vasquez family’s prayers and thoughts are with Margaret’s friends and family.(My GGranmother was Emily Esther Lincoln and Grandmother was Ruth Hackett.) Over the years, Margaret was so very kind to me making me feel like a member of the family. Although we stayed in touch through the mail she was so welcoming, helpful and charitable towards me and others.
