Marlene Marie (Hoffman) Chambers, 75, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on Oct. 17, 2012 in Glenwood, Iowa. She was born Dec. 2, 1936 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Ed & Elnore (Rohrberg) Hoffman.
Marlene was united in marriage to Larry Lee Chambers on Nov. 3, 1957 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Lori, Lynette and Lee. Marlene was employed with the Glenwood Resource Center as a pharmacy assistant until her retirement. She was a faithful member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and held many offices there. She also belonged to the Ladies Aid, LWML and Social Ministry Committee.
Marlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting and musical events. Everyone took pleasure in her cooking, especially her baked goods. She enjoyed fishing with Larry and adored all of her cats. Marlene maintained her sense of humor throughout her entire life and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding Marlene in death were her parents, infant daughter, Lynette, brother, Richard & wife Elsie Hoffman and great-grandson, Braydin Eckler. She is survived by her husband, Larry Chambers; children, Lori & husband Gordon Woodrow; Lee & wife Denise Chambers all of Glenwood, IA; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; extended relatives and many friends.
Interment will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice With Heart.

Uncle Larry,Lori &Lee, Aunt Marlene was so special. I have such fond memories growing up. We will miss her so much. She was so much more than a sister to Mom. All our love and prayers to all of you. You will be missed Aunt Marlene.. Until we meet again, We love you with all our hearts.
