Mildred C. Sutherland, 101, of Glenwood, IA entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2012 in Council Bluffs, IA. She was born July 3, 1911 in Sutherland, NE to Bruce & Filena (Akers) French.
Mildred was united in marriage to Reese Lue Sutherland on Oct. 18, 1930 in Gravity, IA. The couple made their home in Glenwood, IA and their union was blessed with daughter, Donna. Mildred was a talented seamstress and was employed in Glenwood for many years in various jobs. She was member of Grace United Methodist Church and U.M.W.
Preceding Mildred in death were her parents, husband, son-in-law, Don Bishop, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Bishop of Glenwood, IA; grandson, Kirk & wife Lynda Bishop of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Pam Bishop of Omaha, NE; great-granddaughter, Nina Bishop of Chicago, IL and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund, U.M.W. or Glenwood Library Foundation.
