Nancy Eileen Palmer, 44, of Glenwood, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2007 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born April 28, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa to Alvin Dean and Barbara Ellen (Anderson) Lund.

Nancy was raised on a farm and graduated from high school in North Polk City, Iowa. She was a graduate of Iowa State University in 1984. Nancy was united in marriage to Rex Allen Palmer on July 18, 1987 in Slater, Iowa. To this union one son Tyler was born. The family enjoyed camping and going for long walks in the country. Nancy loved the outdoors and had fun taking motorcycle rides and playing golf. Sewing was a special talent of Nancy’s. She made her own wedding gown as well as her sister’s and daughter-in-law’s along with all of the brides maid dresses. Making clothes for the grandchildren also gave her great pleasure. Nancy was an excellent cook, making everything from homemade macaroni and cheese to delicious desserts for all to enjoy. The thing that brought Nancy the most joy was being with her family when they would all get together. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that always made her fun to be around.

Nancy was employed for over 20 years with Cresline Plastic Pipe Company as a Customer Service Representative. She was a faithful member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glenwood and a highly regarded sister of P.E.O. Chapter FF in Glenwood. She was always ready and willing to help do her part wherever there was a need without any complaint. She was a loyal friend in many capacities, to all who knew and loved her. She will be forever missed.

Preceding Nancy in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband Rex Palmer of Glenwood, IA; three sons, Tyler Palmer and Joe Palmer both of Glenwood, IA; Bill & wife Lisa Palmer and their children Mikaela and Caleb all of Mineola, IA; parents, Alvin & Barbara Lund of Polk City, IA; brother, Kenneth & wife Rosalie Lund of Polk City, IA; sister, Kristine & husband Kyle Wendtland of Gillette, WY; nieces and nephews, Bryce & Amy Lund and Donnie & Hannah Wendtland; parents-in-law, Ronald & Hazel Palmer of Glenwood, IA: brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, other extended relatives and a host of friends.
