Nancy Jo Barbour, 71 of Nebraska City, Nebraska formerly of Glenwood, Iowa passed away December 27, 2022 in Nebraska City. She was born November 2, 1951 to William Cecil and Marianna (Baker) Barbour.
Nancy graduated from Glenwood High School in 1971. She was employed as a resident treatment worker at the Glenwood Resource Center for 35 years. Her clients she cared for became like family.
Nancy loved to fish, go out to dinner and meeting friends for coffee at the Kwik Shop. She loved spending time with her family and friends as well as her dogs.
Preceding Nancy in passing were her parents, infant brother David Barbour and brother Ed Barbour. Survivors include her sisters Linda Smith of Nebraska City, Nebraska; Cheryl Howard of Glenwood, Iowa; Carolyn Bartmess of Colonial Beach, Virginia; sister-in-law Linda Barbour of Glenwood, Iowa; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Interment: Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa
Memorial donations may be directed to the Glenwood Volunteer Fire Association.

I am saddened to learn of Nancy’s passing. I met her years ago and she always had a smile and a joke whenever we met up with each other (usually at Kwik Shop). Fly high with the angels Nancy!
RIP Nancy. I remember you from years ago when you worked at GRC. Rest now with the angels.
Nancy was a wonderful, kind person. I enjoyed the visits I had with her at the kwik shop or wherever I ran into her. Prayers for the family. Rest Easy Nancy.

I was sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. I worked with Nancy at GRC. She was a kind and friendly person.
My condolences to the Barbour family.
Nancy was a constant support for my brother when he was battling cancer. I loved to be around her because she had a great sense of humor. A sweet soul has gone home.
