Owen Douglas Jens, 74 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into rest at his home on March 16, 2017. He was born February 1, 1943 to Ervin William and Wilma Frances (Sell) Jens in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Glenwood High School. Owen was in the Army National Guard and later came home to farm with his Dad. He later worked for Bellevue Toyota as a car salesman. Owen was a past member of Lion’s Club. He was united in marriage to Linda Lee Schoening on June 3, 1992 in Mineola, Iowa.
Owen loved cars, watching western movies, antiquing, farming and attending horse and gun shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceding Owen in passing were his grandparents and parents. Survivors include his wife Linda; children, Lisa (Duane) Leu, Denise Jens, Jason (Mandi) Dalton; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Daniel, Alicia and Joshua Leu; Pierce and Desmond Dalton all of Glenwood, Iowa; extended relatives and many friends.
Private Interment Mineola Cemetery, Mineola, IA
