Patrick Wentworth Tobin passed away November 14, 2014 at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 27 days. Pat was born November 17, 1958 to Joseph E. & Doris M. Tobin in Hamburg, IA. He grew up in Tabor, IA and attended Fremont Mills Schools until age 15 and then moved to Glenwood with his parents. Pat moved back to the Thurman and Tabor area where he spent the rest of his life.
Pat loved riding and working on motorcycles, which led him to his life career as a mechanic. Pat was forever helping family, friends and even strangers to solve their auto problems. He had a generous spirit and tried to help people as much as he could.
Pat loved his family, being especially fond of his grandchildren and the Sunday family dinners they had together.
Preceding Pat in death were his parents, son Jesse Tobin and sister Betty Bales. Survivors include his children, Shannon (Shon) Goodman of Thurman, IA; Blake Tobin of Tabor, IA; Dyson Tobin of Thurman, IA; Alex Tobin of Council Bluffs, IA; & Kobi Tobin of Thurman, IA; nine grandchildren, Brenden, Christopher, Devan, Kade Xander Goodman of Thurman, IA; Brayden & Brinley Tobin of Tabor, IA; Kylan & Mali Tobin of Ansley, NE; sister, Kathy (Chuck) Douglass of Tabor, IA; brother, Mike (Paula) Tobin of Modesto, CA; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives & many friends.
Private Interment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

You have my sympathy on the loss of your loved one. Please allow God to comfort you through His promise to care for our dead loved ones at John 5:28,29. It’s so stressful to deal with the death of a loved one because Death was never supposed to be a part of life so God didn’t create us with the ability to be content with this loss but our loving creator, Jehovah God, promises to do away with death {Isaiah 25:8} and the one who causes death Satan{Hebrews 2:14} real soon through His Kingdom in the hands of His Son Christ Jesus so that His purpose for mankind can be realized which is to live on a paradise earth under perfect and peaceful conditions. {Genesis 1:27,28; Psalms 37:9-11,29}

I am so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. He was such a quiet man but I enjoyed talking to him on the rare occasions when I did run into him. My heart goes out to the family.
Pat was a cool guy, a very nice guy. Our condolences to the family.
