Pearl Ann (Dinovo) Brown, 80 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa entered into rest on April 17, 2016 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born on December 30, 1935 in Council Bluffs to Joseph and May Veronica (Gilson) Dinovo. Pearl was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1954. Pearl was united in marriage to Merle Edward Brown on September 6, 1954 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They were blessed with five children Marilyn, Steve, Danny, Kevin and Rick. The family moved to Glenwood in 1971.
Pearl was employed as an administrative assistant for the Glenwood State Hospital School. She loved singing and was a member of the Holy Rosary Church where she sang in the choir. Pearl loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in passing by her sister, Rose Kern and her parents, Joseph and May Dinovo. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Merle Brown of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Marilyn (Bob) Brown McBride of New Jersey; Steve (Mickey) Brown of Virginia; Danny (Connie) Brown of Glenwood, Iowa; Kevin (Nikki) Brown of Florida; Rick (Sandy) Brown of Bellevue, Nebraska; Vicky (Bill) Roux of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Jeff (Robin) Kern of Crescent, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, 13 and one on the way great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Interment will be held in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to Holy Rosary Church or Hospice of Southwest Iowa.
