Pearl Hauger-Munyon, 87, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2011 at Hospice With Heart facility in Glenwood. She was born to Adrian & Dorothy (Becker) McCain December 7, 1923 in Fair Haven, Minnesota.
Pearl was united in marriage to Earl Hauger on June 27, 1941 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. They were blessed with children, Helen, Robert and Tracy. In Sept. of 1987 Earl passed away. Pearl later married Roy Munyon on July 11, 1995 in Omaha, Nebraska. She loved to fish and camp; as well as travel the country polka dancing with Roy. They were crowned Prince and Princess in Elkhorn, Nebraska at one of the dances. Pearl was employed in housekeeping at the Glenwood State Hospital School for 11 years. She attended the First Christian Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Polka Dance Club in Nebraska.
Preceding Pearl in death were her parents, husband, Earl Hauger and Roy Munyon who passed away in Oct. of 2003. She is survived by her children, Helen & husband Wesley Turnquist of Silver City, Iowa; Robert & wife Betty Hauger of Tabor, Iowa; Tracy & husband Jim Brown of Pacific Junction, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Viola Sorenson, Edith Haines and Marjie Harms; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
