Robert Winfred Rager, II, 74 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away on October 7, 2023 in Bellevue, Nebraska. He was born August 18, 1949 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Robert Winfred and Ruth Elaine (Hansen) Rager. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1967 and attended Iowa Western Community College then on to school for tool and die. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army. Robert was employed as a clerk for BNSF for 40 years until his retirement.
Some of Robert’s interests were drag car racing, bowling, hunting, fishing and he was a devoted Cubs baseball fan.
Preceding Robert in passing were his parents and sister Gay Elaine & husband Harley Winchester. Survivors include his wife Millie Rager of Glenwood, Iowa; daughter Brenda (Jeff) Rief of Glenwood, Iowa; step-daughters Connie (Eric) Yahn of Liberty Township, Ohio; Angie (Andy) Green of Bennington, Nebraska; Tammy (Ryan) Ernst of Red Oak, Iowa; sister Ruth Deanne (Harry) Andersen of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren Austin (Hannah) Rief; Dustie Rief, step-grandchildren; Patrick, Joshua and Samantha Green; Johnathan and Nathaniel Ernst; William and Cameron Yahn; great grandchildren; Blair, Lane and Letty Rief; Perri Ann Rief; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of your choice.
