Roberta Mae (Moore) Kizzier, 86, of Omaha, NE, formerly of Glenwood, IA, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 11, 2010 in Omaha. She was born July 5, 1924 near Hastings, IA to Robert & Priscilla (Dyson) Moore. Following graduation, she received her teaching certificate and taught country school north of Glenwood.
She was united in marriage to Lyle Delbert Kizzier on Aug. 24, 1947 in Glenwood, IA. They moved to Council Bluffs where three sons were born, Mark, Greg & David. Roberta was a devoted wife and mother to her family. In 1961, they moved to Atlantic, IA, where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Following retirement, they moved to Omaha, NE in 1990. Her family loved her dearly and although she is gone, she will never be forgotten.
Preceding Roberta in death were her parents, husband Lyle in 2007 and sister, Helen Thurman. She is survived by her children, Mark & wife Terri Kizzier of Bellevue, NE; Greg Kizzier of Omaha, NE: David Kizzier of Granger, IA; grandchildren, Abigail Schuckman & Elizabeth Kizzier; great grandchildren, Erica and Emily Schuckman; brother, Dallas & wife Marian Moore of Pacific Junction, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
