Roger Glen Jackson, 92 of Henderson, Iowa passed away May 10, 2021 in Glenwood. He was born on October 30, 1928 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Glen William and Anna Louise (Dashner) Jackson. Following graduation from high school, Roger attended Iowa State University for a short time before returning home to farm. He was a true steward of the land and enjoyed his horses.
Roger faithfully served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and spent a tour of his time in Germany. Once returning home he continued to farm. Hi memberships included the Wesley Chapel Church and American Legion Post 141.
Roger was united in marriage to Orla Jean Johnson Poli in Hastings, Iowa on August 29, 1981. They enjoyed many happy years together.
Preceding Roger in passing were his parents. Survivors include his wife Orla Jean Jackson of Glenwood, Iowa; son Jerry and wife Pamela Towne of Henderson, Iowa and their children Brian (Emily) Towne; Matthew (Polly) Towne; Mary (Paul) Fairchild; step-sons Kim Poli, Mark Poli, Kevin Poli, Kent Poli and Jon Poli; may step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended relatives and friends.
Interment, Wesley Chapel Cemetery, rural Hastings, Iowa.
Memorials may directed to the Harvey T. Rimel Post #141 Glenwood American Legion or Glen Haven Village.
