Ronald Victor Palmer, 85, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on Jan. 18, 2010 at the Hospice With Heart facility in Glenwood. He was born April 2, 1924 in Adams County, Iowa to Orville & Mattie (Dicks) Palmer.
Ronald faithfully served his country in the Navy during WWII as a Motor Machinist Mate 3/c. He was united in marriage to Hazel May Mitchell on June 16, 1946 in Corning, Iowa. To this union four sons were born, Roger Earl, Eugene Victor, Rex Allen and Steve Ricky. Ronald farmed for Ben Buffington and several other area farmers for many years. He would often talk about agriculture and his love for the land and outdoors. Ronald enjoyed riding horses, fishing, reading a good book and watching western shows. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Preceding Ronald in death were his parents, wife, brothers Dale and Marvin Palmer. He is survived by his sons, Roger Earl Palmer of New Hampshire, Eugene Victor Palmer of Red Oak, Iowa, Rex Allen Palmer, and Steve Ricky Palmer both of Glenwood, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Dvorak of Omaha, NE; extended relatives and a host of friends.

I Love You Dad. You are the best Dad in the world. When the pain in my arms, hands, and body is at it’s worst. I feel you lay your hands on mine and help me with whatever task I am trying to complete. Thank You for still being there for me. It’s been 10 years today 12;05 P.M. Your Son Steve.
