Ronda Lynn Holtzen, 55 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away February 5, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born May 30, 1966 in Lincoln, Nebraska to James Lee and Ardis Irene (Stepan) Brown.
Ronda enjoyed gymnastics when she was younger and met her future husband at age 14. She and David were united in marriage on September 15, 1984. To this union two children were born, Brian and Amanda.
Ronda was a woman of many talents. She made creative crafts and participated in several craft groups. Ronda was a wonderful cook and made the annual Holtzen Christmas dinners which everyone always enjoyed. Each year she cleverly hid the Elf on the Shelf for Brian, which her Facebook followers anxiously waited for every day. Ronda was a dedicated employee and enjoyed her time at the Glenwood Opinion-Tribune, Kaiman’s Grocery, CAS Associates and Berkshire Hathaway and devoted her time caring for Brian. Ronda always put her family first and loved them unconditionally.
Preceding Ronda in passing was her father, brothers-in law George Klinker, Doug Hansen and Donavon Holtzen; sister Kris Hansen-Zelasney and sister-in-law Sharon Holtzen. Survivors include her husband David Holtzen; son Brian Holtzen both of Glenwood, Iowa; daughter Amanda and husband Cameron Krumwiede of Papillion, Nebraska; mother Ardis Brown; sister Patti Klinker both of Lincoln, Nebraska; mother-in-law Dorothy Holtzen of Hebron, Nebraska; brother-in-law Dwyane Holtzen of Bruning, Nebraska; sister-in-law Kathleen Eldrige of Fairbury, Nebraska; Karleen Reinsch of Sidney, Nebraska; Kristie Wilkins of Bruning, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Interment to be held a later date.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Holtzen family. She was an amazing person, and I am blessed to have had her in my life during my high school days. Prayers to all of the family members.

Ronda was the sweetest person. I enjoyed our visits when I watched Brian and Amanda. She was very devoted to her children. She will be greatly missed.
So sorry for your loss. Broke my heart to hear how everything changes now. I’ve thought about you all over the years and this is not how I wanted to do reconnect. Ronda always made Becky, Drake, and I feel so welcomed. 4th of July, swimming, and laughs. She will be missed.
