Roy Less Stegemann, 70, of Pacific Junction, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2009 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born December 9, 1938 in Crawford County, Iowa near Denison to Marcus and Edna (Bielenberg) Stegemann.
Roy was united in marriage to Roxanna Gayle Horn on September 26, 2008 in Pacific Junction, Iowa. He was a truck driver for Warner Trucking and had owned his own trucking business called Hope and Sympathy. Roy loved his cats and dogs and raised show pigeons for many years in Perry, Boone and Des Moines, Iowa. He loved stock car racing and enjoyed telling jokes and visiting with people. Roy raised beautiful iris and other varieties of flowers, as well as vegetables and would often share them with his neighbors and friends.
Preceding Roy in death were his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife, Roxanna (Horn) Stegemann of Pacific Junction, Iowa; daughter, Crystal Stegemann and significant other, Harlan Bender of Omaha, Nebraska; son, Douglas and wife Kim Stegemann of Conway, Arkansas; sister, Mary Ann Fertig of Wall Lake, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; extended relatives and a host of friends.
