Sara Susan Weide, 85 of Glenwood, Iowa was born December 12, 1936 in Pittsburg, Kansas to James Howard and Dona Pummel (Rader) McKee. She passed away September 7, 2022 at Glen Haven Village, Glenwood, Iowa. Sara graduated from high school in Pittsburg and earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She was united in marriage to Nelson Eugene Weide on September 1, 1957 in Pittsburg, Kansas. To this union two children were born, Chris and Melissa.

Sara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was strong in her faith and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Glenwood and was a charter member of the church bell choir for over 35 years. Sara enjoyed cooking for her family and loved spending time with them. In earlier years she liked reading, watching the Cubs and cross stitching.

Preceding Sara in passing were her parents. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Nelson Weide. Children Chris (Catherine) Weide; Melissa (Jason) Arbogast all of Glenwood. Grandchildren Benjamin (Catie) Weide and their daughter Genevieve Rose Weide of Neptune Beach, Florida; Devon Arbogast of Charlottesville, Virginia and Gavin Arbogast of Omaha, Nebraska; extended relatives and friends.
