Todd Owen Wright, 62, of Glenwood, Iowa, passed away in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born on May 15, 1959 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to John William and Eloise Anne (Roenfeldt) Wright.
Todd was raised on the family farm and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1977. He was united in marriage to Susan Kiger on July 16, 1977 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union three daughters were born: Corie, Amy, and Amanda.
Todd loved farming and later became a real estate agent for Jim Hughes Real Estate. He was an entrepreneur who led by example and mentored many along the way. He was a giver with a giant heart and often gave to those in need without recognition; his wife and daughters often not aware until hearing from others much later. Todd was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather, known as “Papa” to his grandchildren. His favorite times were those spent with his family camping, boating, waterskiing, and traveling. His wife, daughters, and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Todd and Susan also enjoyed road trips on their Harley Davidson motorcycle with their friends and fellow bikers. Todd will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the community.
Preceding Todd in his passing were his grandparents and father. Survivors include his loving wife Susan Wright, of Glenwood Iowa; children Corie (Gordon) DeVries, of Palmer, Alaska; Amy (Tim) Beggs, of Jacksonville, Florida; Amanda (Caleb) Fisher, of Glenwood, Iowa; grandchildren Abigail, Benjamin, William, Ellinore, Owen, Titus (DeVries), Elijah, Evangeline (Beggs), Wiley, Addilyn, Jaxton (Fisher); mother Eloise Wright, of Glenwood, Iowa; brother Brad (Becky) Wright, of Red Oak, Iowa; nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
