Valentine Miles Catron, 30, of Glenwood, Iowa passed away at his home in Glenwood, Iowa Feb. 3, 2010. He was born Jan. 4, 1980 in Omaha, NE to Joel Catron and Diann (Storm) Hammell. Val graduated from Glenwood High School and earned his L.P.N. He served his country in the Navy from 1998-2000. He was currently employed with Hospice With Heart.
Val enjoyed his music and participated in chorus during his school years. He was also involved in Boy Scouts, baseball & loved fishing. His family will remember him as a loving and kind son, brother, uncle as well as a caring nurse.
Preceding Val in death were his grandfather, Warren Catron; uncle, Zane Catron & great-grandmother, Pearl Laschansky.
He is survived by his parents, Joel Catron and Diann Hammell of Glenwood, IA; siblings, Daphne & Dan Eppinga & their children Lilli & Maximus of Cathedral City, CA; Wade Catron of San Jose, CA; Tess & Phillip Roker & child Jonas of Glenwood, IA; Sandra & Brian McDonald & children Camryn & Kirsten of Elko, NV; Dominic Durrett of Glenwood, IA; grandparents, Randall & June McMahill; Donna Catron all of Glenwood, IA; aunts, Dawn Storm of Glenwood, IA; Derren & Jeff Schmidt of Georgetown, CA; uncle, David Storm of Seymour, MO; step-father, Richard Hammell of Carlin, NV; step-mother, Laura Catron & children Robert & Zoe of Glenwood, IA; extended relatives and a host of friends.

I am sending my prayers with you all as not able to be with you on this, sorry for your loose Val was a very dear friend to us all. Alos thoughts and prayers from my brother John Hammers who is not able to be with us all due to being in prison for sometime now but I know how Val and him were very close and have kept in contact over the years since he has been away.
