William (Bill) Louis Kite was the son of Otis Neal and Darlene Helen (Fisher) Kite, born 4-17-1948, in Pacific Junction, Iowa. After his parents were divorced and the age of 8, he lived with his Uncle Joe and Aunt Lottie Matteson in Pacific Junction, Iowa, where he lived the remainder of his life. He married Debra Raymond and two sons were born to this marriage, Matthew L. and Donovan. He married Marilyn Sue Williams on April 4, 1976 at the Strahan Methodist Church.
He attended high school in Pacific Junction until 10th grade. He started to work at a very early age. His first job was with Farmers Coop, then for Iowa State Highway Commission, Shady Tree Service for 12 years, 20 years for Glen Haven Home as a Maintenance Supervisor and his last employment was with On With Life until he became disabled. He had a love for people and enjoyed working with them.
Bill enjoyed going hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and being around friends. He had a great interest in computers, writing poetry, family genealogy and going to visit his uncle and brothers. He won several awards on his poetry that he created on his website on the internet.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild Kitana Lynn, his aunt and uncle that raised him, nephew Tony Kite of Halfway, MO and step-brother Scott Barker. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Pacific Junction, IA, sons Matthew and Donovan of Wisconsin; grandson Konner Justin Lynn of Wisconsin; brothers; Gene & wife Sheryl Kite of Buffalo, MO; Kenneth Neal & wife Charlotte Kite of Creighton, MO; brother-in-law Allen Williams of Hastings, IA; Uncle Denzil Kite of St. Joseph, MO; Aunt Lucille McElfish of Waco, TX; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
