Jennie & families,
There are no easy words for this heartache. Even if you prepare yourself for this. There is still a part of you that goes into shock when your loved one crosses over. We pray for peace for each of you. May the comfort of friends and family help bring you peace as we all remember and honor Wils’ life and spirit.
I end with a favorite quote, she may have been blind but she had the wisdom of many.
“What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us.” ~ Helen Keller Jennie and families,
So sad to hear of Wils’ passing Wils and I worked a lot of years together at UP. We were both same age, few days apart. He was a good and strong person.
Aunt Jennie, Nick, Sam, Josh, and Mollie, I can’t tell you how much we loved uncle Wils. He wasn’t just in some of our fondest memories growing up, he actually created them. The travel and trips our family shared, listening to Alabama on the radio and riding in the coolest van that I had ever seen. But most importantly, uncle Wils’s fun and carefree attitude through it all. He treated all of us kids as though we mattered and he made his time with us feel like it was precious and not a burden. As an adult now, I can understand how that is not easy with children. He is greatly missed but know he will always have a very special place in all of our hearts.
